Good Morning Britain entered 2026 with a longer broadcast and a new production arrangement. Its familiar faces remained central—but ITV’s older presenter page still lists Ben Shephard, whose move to This Morning was announced in 2024.
That explains part of the confusion surrounding the Good Morning Britain presenters. A historical profile, a guest appearance and a current presenting role are different things. Establishing the lineup means checking when the information was published.
Who Are the Main Good Morning Britain Presenters?
ITV’s January 2026 welcome page features Susanna Reid, Ed Balls, Kate Garraway, Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh. These are the five faces highlighted in the programme’s current introduction to viewers.
They belong to a presenting team rather than a single permanent partnership appearing every weekday. ITV’s September 2025 retrospective explicitly described the programme as being fronted by a roster, also naming Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins.
The distinction matters. A presenter’s membership of the team does not establish that they will host a particular morning. Nor should a previous year’s roster automatically be treated as a complete account of the latest arrangements.
For viewers seeking the hosts of one specific edition, the episode itself provides firmer evidence than an undated list.
The Original Team Launched in 2014
Good Morning Britain began on 28 April 2014. ITV’s launch coverage named Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard, Charlotte Hawkins and Sean Fletcher as its presenting team.
Reid’s place in the current lineup therefore represents continuity from the programme’s first broadcast. Hawkins and Fletcher also have longstanding connections to the show, although their original roles should not be assumed to describe every subsequent arrangement.
Kate Garraway was part of the programme from its launch period too. In an April 2014 ITV interview, Reid specifically confirmed that Garraway would remain involved in the new breakfast show.
Those early announcements explain why several names recur across more than a decade of coverage. They establish the programme’s origins, rather than today’s precise rota.
Susanna Reid and the Current Core Team
Reid appears in both ITV’s original launch announcement and its January 2026 welcome material. Her continuing presence is directly supported by the broadcaster’s own publications.
Ed Balls, Richard Madeley, Ranvir Singh and Kate Garraway appear alongside her in the current welcome image. That is useful evidence of the programme’s public-facing team, but it does not specify their contractual commitments or guarantee fixed weekday pairings.
Claims about an exact weekly schedule need separate verification. The official pages reviewed here do not provide a comprehensive, dated rota covering every presenter and every morning.
A change in pairing is therefore not, by itself, evidence that someone has been dismissed or permanently replaced.
Where Does Charlotte Hawkins Fit?
Hawkins’s own current website states that she presents on Good Morning Britain. It also describes her work on ITV News, including the Evening News and News at Ten.
That first-person account provides stronger evidence of her continuing involvement than speculation based on how frequently she appears beside a particular colleague.
Her example also shows why the word “presenter” can be imprecise. A broadcaster may work across programmes and duties; a general biography cannot establish their assignment for one morning.
The safest description is that Hawkins remains associated with GMB through presenting work. More detailed claims about her current rota require a specific announcement or broadcast record.
Why Ben Shephard and Piers Morgan Still Appear in Searches
Shephard was one of the original presenters, but ITV announced in February 2024 that he and Cat Deeley would become the new hosts of This Morning. In the accompanying statement, he reflected on his ten years at GMB.
ITV’s older GMB presenter directory still includes his name. That page should therefore be read alongside the later announcement, rather than used as a definitive current lineup.
Piers Morgan is another prominent former presenter. ITV confirmed his departure on 9 March 2021 following discussions with the broadcaster. His presence in archived clips does not make him a current host.
What Changed in 2026?
ITV announced that GMB would move to production by ITV News at ITN from January 2026 and extend its usual weekday broadcast to 6am–9.30am. Its scheduling plan also provided for a 10am finish during weeks when Lorraine is off air.
These were confirmed production and scheduling changes. They should not be interpreted as proof of an unannounced presenter departure.
The main question has a clear answer: ITV currently highlights Reid, Balls, Garraway, Madeley and Singh, with other established broadcasters contributing to the wider team. The exact hosts vary by edition, and dated announcements remain essential when separating today’s lineup from its history.
